  • Computer Systems Analyst, Junior, 2-3 Years Exp. (Secret) 1 

SITEC has an opportunity for a Computer Systems Analyst on a new contract award in Southern Maryland.  Qualified applicants will have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with client-server systems in systems analysis, software design, software development, and database administration. And a demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, quality control, and independent verification and validation techniques. Experience working independently and as part of a team in researching data, developing analytical techniques and methodologies is required. Demonstrated knowledge of system acquisition practices required to design, develop, integrate, test, and manufacture a major system. 

Functional duties: Collects information to analyze and evaluate. Performs logical and physical system design, and reviews and prepares system documents and specifications. Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system. Prepares reports, studies, and documentation. Delivers presentations and participates in meetings. Works on special problem areas; administers complex areas of the network, security analysis and planning. May also ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts. Interfaces with system or program Contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects.  

Required Education: BS or BA in a technical discipline  

  • Configuration Management Analyst, Senior, 10 Years Exp. (Secret) 2 

SITEC has opportunities for Configuration Management Analysts on a new contract award in Southern Maryland.   

Functional duties: Collects, organizes, and interprets data relating to aircraft and product programs. Performs data management. Maintains configuration control of acquisition products and data. Tracks configuration changes. Coordinates and supports development of Engineering Change Proposals. Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management, and data management.  

Required Education: BS or BA in a Technical or Business Discipline  

Required Experience: At least ten (10) years of experience in the configuration management process, which must include: configuration identification, configuration control, configuration audits and reviews, configuration status accounting, and experience with software development facilities, ancillary software testing, production, and operational use. Of the ten (10) years at least six (6) years of experience is required using configuration management software tools such as ClearCase, Git, CVS or Synergy. 

  • Engineering Technician IV, Junior, 6 Years Exp. (Secret) 2 

SITEC has opportunities for Engineering Technicians with six (6) years’ experience in performing functions in an engineering field. Of the six (6) years at least three (3) years of engineering experience shall have consisted of performing engineering functions in DoD aircraft, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems. 

Functional duties: Applies engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components. Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures. Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information. Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results. Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. 

Required Education: High School diploma or GED. In addition, completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology, or completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.  

  • Engineering Technician V, Journeyman, 8 Years Exp. (Top Secret) 2 

SITEC has opportunities for Engineering Technicians on a new contract award in Southern Maryland. SITEC has an opportunity for a Senior Software Developer on a new contract award in Southern Maryland requiring at least ten (10) years of software development experience, performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing in a corporate or governmental Software Development Environment. 

Functional duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Note: Senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. May also ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts. Required Education: BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering. A Junior position also requires at least 24 credits which must be in their major and a Grade Point Average (GPA) in their major must be at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Degree must be from an accredited college. (Degree REQUIRED, an AA and additional years of experience cannot be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. 

  • Technical Writer II, Junior, 1 Year Exp. (Secret) 2 

SITEC is hiring Technical Writers on a new contract award in Southern Maryland. The qualified applicants will have a High School diploma or GED. In addition, at least 30 hours of technical/vocational training in English-related training (i.e., journalism, communications, or literature), or technical training (i.e., science or business) at an accredited technical/vocational school. Technical Writer II -Required Experience: One (1) year performing as a technical writer. 

Functional duties: The Technical Writer develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment, receives assignment from supervisor, observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail. This writer interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods, and reviews s and trade catalogs, drawings and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment.  

The Technical Writer studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail, organizes material, and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; and reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding. This worker may perform the following tasks: maintain records and files of work and revisions, select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material; provide support in laying out material for publication, arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution of material, write speeches, articles, and public or employee relations releases, edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or plant personnel. This incumbent may specialize in writing material regarding work methods and procedures.
